I earned my Ph.D. working on Ancient Philosophy and Ethics in the Department of Philosophy at Northwestern University in Fall 2023 under the co-direction of Richard Kraut and Kyla Ebels-Duggan.
My current research focuses on contemporary theories of desire and value, engaging Plato's theory of desire to inform our understanding. My work concerns the nature of valuing attitudes and Plato’s contribution to understanding what these mental states are. I also work on questions about why our beliefs often fail to track with our desiderative and dispositional states, considered both from the ancient Greek and contemporary philosophical traditions. Broadly speaking, my interests lie in ancient Greek ethics and epistemology and contemporary ethics and moral psychology. Download CV
